The new HP Specter
x360 for 2019 is always so elegant and elegant. It has been designed to impress
and continue the tradition of size that the Specter line has had for a long
time.
Powerful hardware
with a sleek and elegant design, many of its competitors couldn't even start
emulating, in addition to a hinge that offers this 2 in 1 feature. And has thus
risen to the rank of the best laptops from HP.
In this regard,
the HP Specter x360 for 2019 is no different. It's still so slim, slim, and
powerful, though it may have more up-to-date components that always come with
updates like this.

endure.

innovations home less than usual.
Laptop hp x360 review ::Pricing
and availability.
As with HP
laptops, the 13-inch HP Specter x360 (2019) has different configurations with
different specifications and corresponding prices. The basic model is equipped
with an Intel Core i5-8265U processor, 8 GB RAM, a 256 GB PCIe SSD and an IPS
Full HD (1080p) touchscreen. This costs $ 1,010 (£ 1,199, AU $ 2,499).
For the HP
Specter x360 with an Intel Core i7-8565U processor and 512 GB PCIe SSD storage
(with the rest of the same specifications), the price increases to GBP 1399. In
the United States UU. In Australia, memory rises to 16 GB for $ 1,330 (AU $
2,799).
The U.S. also has
a configuration similar to the previous one, but with a lower Intel Core
i7-8550U processor for $ 1,180. In Australia, you get a Specter x360 with the
same components as the previous ones, but with a 1 TB PCIe SSD for $ 2,999.
If you're looking
for a 4K display, 16GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe storage, the price is £ 1,699. In
Australia you get a 4K display, a Core i7-8565U processor and 16 GB RAM, but
only a 512 GB PCIe SSD for AU $ 3,399. It appears that this setting is not
currently available in the United States.
It looks a little
different in Australia. There are two models that are not available in the
United States and the United Kingdom. Both models have SIM card ports for using
mobile 4G broadband. The first model costs AU $ 3,199 and includes an Intel
Core i7-8565U, 8 GB RAM and a 512 GB M.2 SSD. You can update it with 16 GB of
RAM and a 1 TB SSD for AU $ 3,799.
There are also
15-inch models of the HP Specter x360 that are equipped with a faster Intel
Core i7-8750H processor. We looked at this model separately here: HP Specter
x360 15T (2019).
Regardless of the
specifications that apply to you, you can easily find the HP Specter x360 that
is right for you. Although not all Specter x360 configurations are available in
all markets due to confusion, your selection may be slightly restricted depending
on where you live.
Laptop hp x360 review : Design
The HP Specter
x360 (2019) is slightly larger than the previous year's model, but with its
renewed appearance it makes it a 2-in-1 model that was significantly more
attractive in 2018 than its predecessor.
The design of the
HP Specter x360 (2019) has been slightly changed compared to the 2018 model,
especially in the upper left and right corners, which are now diagonal, giving
the Specter x360 a more exclusive look.
The on / off
switch is located in the left corner and an additional USB-C port is located in
the right corner. The speaker grille on top of the keyboard is modern and
elegant. The speakers behind it also come from Bang & Olufsen.
What is new is
that the fingerprint scanner is located on the right side directly under the
keyboard. In this way, you can log in to Windows quickly and easily by placing
your finger on the sensor. The touch panel is located in the middle under the
keyboard and is large enough for comfortable operation.
In daily use,
however, the touchscreen does not respond as well as we imagined, although it
generally works well with multi-touch gestures. Still, it's not as fluid as the
touchscreens we've used in other laptops.
The keyboard,
however, is much better. Despite the compact size of the HP Specter x360, the
keys offer enough freedom of movement to feel appealing and satisfactory when
pressed. There is no numeric keypad, but this allows HP to distribute the
remaining keys on the Specter x360, and they are of a decent size, which is
useful for quick writers.
This also means
that the HP Specter x360 (2019) remains a comfortable device for long periods
in portable mode. You can only select an external mouse instead of relying on
the touchpad.
On the left is a
single full-size USB-A 3.1 port. This is a good addition as many of us still
have devices that don't have a USB-C port. With this standard USB connection
you can use old hardware without a dongle.
There are two
USB-C ports on the right, one in the diagonal corner of the HP Specter x360
(2019) case. It's a pretty strategic place to have it because it means that any
USB-C device (or power cord) is far from you when in use.
There is also an
audio connector, a microSD connector and a physical switch that allows you to
turn off the webcam. This is still a good thing for home users.
As with all HP
x360 models, the HP Specter x360 is a laptop computer with a 360-degree hinge
for the display, which allows it to be used both as a transition laptop and as
a tablet. You can also put it into save mode (e.g. an inverted V) and use it to
display the live media.
The first-class
build quality of the HP Specter x360 ensures that the hinge looks solid in use.
So you don't have to worry about it being damaged if you tilt the screen in
different positions.
The laptop's dimensions
of 30.88 x 21.79 x 1.47 cm (width x depth x height) and 1.33 kg weight make it
easy and convenient to carry, and it's not much larger (or thicker) than the
previous year's model with 30.6 x 21.8 x 1.36 cm and 1.26 kg. Yes, the Specter
x360 is getting bigger and heavier, but just a little bit, and given the
updated specs (which we'll see soon), this compensation isn't too bad.
Laptop hp x360 review :: Screen
and pencil
HP also seems to
have improved the screen compared to last year, as the HP Specter x360 (2019)
screen is much brighter and more dynamic than its predecessor. Our test device
is equipped with a 13.3-inch full HD screen (1,920 x 1,080).
The screen is
protected by Corning Gorilla Glass NBT, which is essential for any 2-in-1
device to avoid damage in tablet mode. Of course it is a touchscreen and works
well with your finger, although the HP Specter x360 (2019) is also equipped
with a pen at no additional cost (more on that in a moment).
The display panel
uses in-plane switching technology (IPS), which offers a wide viewing angle.
Since you can rotate the screen to configure it in various settings, the image
quality remains high regardless of the angle of the screen.
The HP Specter
x360 (2019) also includes HP Sure View technology. By activating this mode, you
can restrict the viewing angles considerably, which is useful if you work in
public spaces, since everything is done on the screen. Do not sit directly in
front of him.
This function can
be switched on and off with the F1 key on the keyboard. It works great because
the screen is extremely worn and illegible from every angle. When you look at
the front screen, the image is a little blurry than usual, but still perfectly
usable. Not many people will use this feature, but it's nice to have it anyway
and it works well.
There are also HP
Specter x360 (2019) models that are equipped with a 4K screen. For many people,
a 4K screen on a 13-inch laptop can be too much. However, this is a welcome
option. However, as mentioned earlier, the 4K option isn't available in all
markets.
In action, the
screen does more than a credible task of displaying applications and media.
While it's not the brightest screen we've seen on a laptop, it works well.
It should be
noted that the HP Specter x360 (2019) has large frames at the top and bottom of
the screen. It's a shame because we're used to laptops at this price having
extremely thin frames, like the Dell XPS 13, which gives you as much screen
space as possible and yet is stylish and modern. In comparison, the large
bezels of the HP Specter x360 (2019) seem a bit dated.
The HP Specter
x360 (2019) also comes with the HP Active Pen. It is a robust device that is
pleasant to use and works perfectly with the touchscreen of the x360. The fact
that HP ships the Specter x360 at no additional cost, while many other
manufacturers don't, could and should be an important selling point.
Laptop hp x360 review : :Battery
life
It is not for
nothing that HP has awarded this year's Lifespan for the Specter x360 battery
because there is an unbelievable amount of time between the individual charging
processes. In our battery benchmark test, in which we played a 1080p loop video
with a screen with 50% brightness, the HP Specter x360 lasted 12 hours and 37
minutes.
For an ultrabook
with these specifications, this is an outstanding achievement that even exceeds
the 8 hours and 12 minutes of the Dell XPS 13 (2019). Sure, other laptops like
Chromebooks have longer battery life, but they trade longer in power and
performance.
With the Specter
x360, HP has successfully manufactured a powerful laptop with Windows 10 and a
battery that lasts longer than a working day. It is something very impressive.
It should be
noted that the PCMark 8 battery life test, which reproduces the most intensive
usage such as video calls and surfing the Internet, was slightly shorter at
four and a half hours. It can be expected. For general use by most people and
with careful battery management, the Specter x360 should last at least nine
hours.
This is a huge
improvement over the previous year model, which only reached 7 hours 28 minutes
in our original battery life test.
Laptop hp x360 review ::
Final judgment
With this year's
Specter x360, HP has developed another great 2-in-1 device. Sophisticated
design and improved internal components make him a solid artist with a combined
look. If you are looking for a laptop that works like a tablet, this is a very
tempting device.
The build
quality, design and performance are very useful, which justifies the high
price. However, there is no denying that it is an expensive laptop. If you're
looking for a cheaper option and can do without a device that switches to
tablet mode, there are some great mid-range laptops that best suit your
preferences.
However, we like
the fact that the HP Specter x360 comes with a stylus, and there's no question
that it's one of the best batteries we've seen in a powerful ultrabook.
So if you're
looking for a sleek, slim 2-in-1 system that works all day without consuming
too much power, make sure you check out the HP Specter x360 if you have the
resources.
However, there
are cheaper 2-in-1 devices. If you are looking for a long battery life without
having to spend a bundle
